El-Sisi to inaugurate Nasr Chemicals’ complex in Q2-19
About 98% of the construction works in the complex have been completed

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi is expected to inaugurate the new $1 billion phosphate-based fertiliser project in Ain Sokhna in the second quarter of 2019, a top official at El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) revealed.

The nine-plant phosphate-based fertiliser complex has a planned production capacity of 1,200 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertiliser per day and nearly 750 tonnes of triple superphosphate (TSP) fertilizer per day, NCIC’s head of supply and procurement Ahmed Raslan told Mubasher.

About 98% of the construction works in the complex have been completed, Raslan noted.

For his part, head of sales and business development at the Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions which is executing the project said that the construction works in the project in Ain Sokhna will be completed in March.

The major complex has a planned production capacity of 1,200 tonnes of ammonia, 800 tonnes of urea, 500 tonnes of nitric acid, 600 tonnes of nitric ammonium, and 600 tonnes of calcium ammonium nitrate per day, Ayman El-Moghl added.
